The Template Stealer, part II - Irrefutable proof

I decided I’d post proof of Chris stealing my code. So, here it is.

If you look at the id of the body element, it’s omgwtfbbq-blogsome-com. I always do what is called ‘CSS Signing’ on my pages, which is where you give the body a unique id, so that anybody could have custom CSS applied to only my site by their browser. omgwtfbbq.blogsome.com was where I developed the theme, and where Chris stole it from.
On the right hand side, you might notice it says javascript:vis(”in. You know that scriptalicious thing I’ve got going on? It used to be named the vis function, because it toggled the visibility. I decided to rename it to showHide because that seemed more fitting. But I just copied and pasted the infobar code from this blog to the testing blog, and forgot to change the function name on it.
Look in the header image at the bottom. See the name? header01_01.png. You know why that is? On the testing blog, I uploaded the header as header01.png, but then noticed that one of the rounded corners was going odd. So, I sorted it out, then tried to upload over the old header01.png, but it automatically renamed it to header01_01.png.

We’ve learnt two leassons today: a) that Chris Bish is a moron, and b) don’t ever steal my code without asking!

So, Chris stole my template.

Chris Bish is a f***king moron. He can’t make his own themes so he steals them and passes them off as his own. No problem, I’ve told the Blogsome forums, and sent him an offensive email detailing my terms of not emailing Blogsome and demanding that he takes it off.

My site is now officially scriptalicious. Some of you might not know what that word means. Hell, not even I know what it means, and I’m the one who made it up! Anyway, here’s some of the features.

You can click on the titles of the sidebar sections and they will close!
It’s not being used yet, but I’ve set up some script to set the infobar contents dynamically
Soon I’ll have cool effects everywhere!

If any of the scripts don’t work for you, then tough. Get Firefox, FFS.

Bridge - London art exhibition

Bridge is an interactive art exhibition in London. It is, basically, an old church flooded with water. Stepping stone rise out of the water in front of you, and disappear behind you. It was made for the London Design Festival, which celebrates all things Design.

It takes 30 steps to get to the centre of the church, and another 30 to get back. The stones rise quite slowly, so you might be there for a while.

Adsense-ing my blog?

I’m things about putting ads by Google Adsense on my blog. I could possibly only show it a percentage of the time, then you wouldn’t have to suffer it all the time. I know that all 3 million of you who read this blog will be all ‘noo, i love the blog! don’t put ads on it!’, but tough:

I get money, hooray. You can’t argue with that.
If I get money, you get a more interesting blog. Instead of things like “omg it’s so unfair i can’t buy a skateboard” you’d get things like “And here are some videos of me doing AMAZING stunts on my new skateboard!”.
Blogging for money makes more sense than Blogging for chickens. I mean, c’mon, chickens?
My brother’s doing it.
The voices in my head (and on the web) are telling me to do it!

If anybody can raise an argument against it, I will listen.

You’ll love this. Firefox Portable lets you use Firefox from your USB drive at school, or whereever you feel like it. Firefox Portable 2.0RC1 was released yesterday, so it should have all the snazzy new features.
